Swiss inheritance law is being modernized and adapted to today's social needs and changed family structures. A central focus of the revised inheritance law is the reduction of the compulsory shares. This opens up new possibilities and greater flexibility in estate planning, which can be very interesting for patchwork families, non-married couples and family businesses, for example.
